Mobile Application Development
Android and iOS applications, with the backend and admin panel that make them work, built by one team.
What is mobile app development?
Mobile application development is the design, engineering and store deployment of software that runs on Android and iOS. RegalBit Solutions builds cross platform applications in React Native and Ionic, along with the backend APIs, admin panels, payment integration and notification infrastructure that a real application requires. We have shipped mobile products with Stripe, PayPal and Razorpay billing built in.
An app is never just an app. It is an API, an admin panel, a notification service, an analytics setup, two store listings with their own review processes, and a release cycle that continues for as long as the app exists. Projects run into trouble when only the visible half was scoped, and that is the single most common reason a quote you received elsewhere looks low.
Cross platform covers the large majority of business applications well. One codebase for both platforms, near native performance, and a fraction of the cost of building twice. We recommend native development when the app depends heavily on camera processing, background location or Bluetooth hardware, and we say so at the estimate stage rather than after.
We also build for Indian conditions specifically: offline tolerant behaviour, small download sizes, and testing on mid range Android devices rather than only on a recent iPhone.
Deliverables
What we build
Cross platform applications
One React Native or Ionic codebase shipping to both the Play Store and the App Store.
Backend API and admin panel
The half of the project clients often discover late. We scope it from day one.
Payments in app
Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal and in app purchases, with receipts and subscription handling.
Push notifications
Segmented, scheduled and event driven messaging.
Store submission
Listings, screenshots, privacy declarations, review responses and staged rollouts, under your own developer accounts.
Post launch support
Crash monitoring, OS update compatibility and store compliance.
Process
How a mobile app development project runs
Written scope and a fixed quote before anything is built, then visible progress at every stage.
- 1
Define
User journeys, platform decision, and a feature list split into launch and later. Scope discipline decides whether an app ships.
- 2
Design
An interactive prototype you can tap through on a phone before development begins.
- 3
Build
Two week iterations with a TestFlight or Play internal build in your hands each time.
- 4
Test
Real devices across screen sizes and Android versions, offline behaviour and crash free session tracking.
- 5
Launch
Store submission, staged rollout, crash monitoring and a post launch iteration cycle.

Who this is for
You will get the most from this if…
Businesses whose customers expect an app
Bookings, orders or account management that people want on their phone.
Field teams needing a purpose built tool
Delivery, inspection or service staff currently working from paper or WhatsApp.
Founders launching a mobile product
You want one team for app, API and admin rather than three vendors blaming each other.
Engineering rates
What this costs
We publish a rate band rather than a project price, because a project price without a scope is a guess. Once we understand the work we convert it into a fixed written quote, so you carry no open ended risk.
Mobile App Development
From $12 / hour
Typical band: $12 to $30 per hour
A quote covering only the app and not the backend or admin panel is not a real quote. Ours always covers all three.
Why us
What makes this different from the other quote you are getting
An eight person engineering team, with a dedicated designer and a dedicated tester, shipping production software since 2017. The person who scopes your project is the person who builds it.
- We scope the backend, admin panel and store process from the start, so the budget reflects the whole project.
- Tested on mid range Android hardware and poor connections, not only on flagship devices.
- We handle store submission and rejections ourselves. Review rejections are routine and knowing how to answer them saves weeks.
- Published under your developer accounts, so you own the listings, the reviews and the users.
Questions
Mobile App Development, frequently asked questions
Cross platform for most business applications: one codebase, both platforms, a fraction of the cost. Native when the app depends on heavy camera processing, continuous background location or Bluetooth peripherals. We tell you which applies at the estimate, not after signing.
Rates start from twelve US dollars an hour for mobile work, and the total depends on how many journeys the app has and how much backend it needs. Quotes far below the market usually exclude the backend, the admin panel, or both. Ask any vendor to confirm in writing that all three are included.
Ten to fourteen weeks for a first version including store submission. Store review adds days at the end, and a first submission rejection is common, so we budget for it.
Yes. Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal and platform in app purchases, including subscriptions, receipts and renewal handling. Payment integration is one of our core specialisms.
