Pricing
Engineering from $10 per hour
We publish a rate band rather than a project price, because a project price without a scope is a guess. Once we have scoped the work you get a fixed written quote.
Engagement models
Three ways to work with us
Most clients start with a fixed scope project and move to an ongoing arrangement once it is live.
Fixed scope project
Best when you know what you want built
A written scope, a fixed price and a fixed timeline agreed before work begins. Payment is milestone based. Scope changes are quoted separately rather than absorbed silently.
Hourly engagement
Best for ongoing or exploratory work
Billed against logged hours at the rate for the specialism involved, starting from ten US dollars an hour. Suits maintenance, iteration and work where the scope will genuinely evolve.
Dedicated developer
Best when you have your own roadmap
A full time engineer working on your board, in your standups, using your tools. React, Angular, Laravel, Node.js or automation specialisms, with a three month minimum.
Rate bands
Every service, with its rate band
Rates vary by specialism. Every engagement is quoted individually in writing after scoping.
| Service | From | Typical band | What moves it |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI Automation & Workflows | $10/hr | $10 to $30 per hour | Rate depends on whether the work is workflow configuration, custom node development or AI engineering. Projects can be quoted as a fixed scope instead once we have mapped them. |
| Integrations & API Development | $12/hr | $12 to $35 per hour | Integration work is quoted from the specification. A single well documented gateway is fast. A legacy system with no API and a CSV export is not, and we will say so before you commit. |
| Web Development | $10/hr | $10 to $28 per hour | A content site sits at the lower end. Application work with authentication, payments and integrations sits higher. Fixed scope quotes are available once requirements are written down. |
| Mobile App Development | $12/hr | $12 to $30 per hour | A quote covering only the app and not the backend or admin panel is not a real quote. Ours always covers all three. |
| Backend & Database Engineering | $12/hr | $12 to $32 per hour | A database health check is a small, bounded piece of work and usually pays for itself in the first fix. Larger builds can be quoted fixed scope. |
| GIS & Mapping Solutions | $18/hr | $18 to $40 per hour | GIS is specialist engineering and priced accordingly. It is also the area where the gap between an experienced team and an inexperienced one costs the most. |
| E-Commerce Development | $10/hr | $10 to $28 per hour | Platform builds sit at the lower end. Custom commerce and deep integration work sits higher. |
| SEO & Digital Marketing | $10/hr | $10 to $25 per hour | Ongoing SEO is normally a monthly retainer rather than an hourly engagement, because consistency is what produces the result. Minimum six months for competitive local terms. |
Always included
What every project comes with, at no extra charge
None of the below is an upsell. If a firm is charging you separately for source code access or a handover, that is worth questioning.
- A written scope and an agreed quote before any work starts
- A staging URL you can open at any moment to see current state
- Full source code, repository access and credentials, yours from day one
- Design by a dedicated designer, not the developer's side job
- Testing by a dedicated tester before anything reaches you
- Handover documentation and a walkthrough session with your team
- Thirty days of support after go live, included
- Analytics, Search Console setup and structured data on every website we build
Variables
Six things that move the number
If you want a smaller quote, these are the levers, and we will help you pull them.
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Number of distinct features or workflows | The single biggest driver. Ten workflows cost roughly ten times one, not twice. |
| Integration count and quality | A well documented REST API is fast. A legacy system with no API and a CSV export is not. |
| Specialism required | GIS and complex integration engineering sit at the top of the band. Content sites sit at the bottom. |
| Design requirement | Working from your existing brand is faster than designing a new visual system. |
| Data volume and migration | Moving years of messy data from a legacy system is often larger than the build itself. |
| Compliance and data residency | GDPR, self hosting requirements and audit logging add engineering, not just paperwork. |
Questions
Pricing: frequently asked questions
Because a project price without a scope is a guess, and a guess published on a website is misleading. A rate band tells you honestly what tier of firm you are dealing with. Once we understand the work we convert it into a fixed written quote, so you carry no open ended risk.
The specialism involved. Content sites and standard web work sit at the lower end from ten dollars an hour. Integration, backend and mobile engineering sit in the middle. GIS and geospatial engineering sits at the top, because it is genuinely specialist and the gap between an experienced team and an inexperienced one costs the most there.
Almost always because it is a template installation: a purchased theme, your logo and text dropped in, and no engineering. For some businesses that is genuinely the right purchase and we will tell you so. What it does not give you is custom design, correct technical SEO foundations, performance work, structured data, or somebody supporting it in year three.
No. The first call is at our cost. For automation work it produces a genuine process map and prioritised recommendations that are yours to keep whether or not you engage us.
Milestone based for fixed scope work: an initial payment to begin, one or more progress milestones, and a balance on completion. Hourly engagements are invoiced monthly against logged time. Indian clients are invoiced in rupees with GST, and international clients in their own currency.
We quote the change separately and you decide before we build it. We do not silently absorb scope, because that is how projects run late, and we do not use change requests as a revenue strategy either. Small adjustments within the spirit of the agreed scope are simply done.
Want a real number for your project?
Tell us what you need in a sentence or two and we will come back with a written scope and a fixed quote, usually within a few days of the first call.
